BIOCHEMISTRY LAB

A biochemistry laboratory used to study the chemical processes within living organisms. Traditional biochemistry examines the chemistry of reactions catalyzed by enzymes, but biochemical research has expanded to cover topics of signal transduction, transport within cells, and molecular interactions. The main aim is to procured information on nourishment for support of ideal well-being and its application for training of sustenance.

 UV-VISIBLE SPECTROPHOTO METER

UV spectroscopy or UV–visible spectrophotometry refers to absorption spectroscopy or reflectance spectroscopy in part of the ultraviolet and the full, adjacent visible regions of the electromagnetic spectrum.

BIOCHEMISTRY ANALYSER

A semi-auto biochemistry analyzer works on the principle of filter photometry. The halogen lamp radiates light in all directions. The radiated light then goes through a convex lens which converses the scattered light. A biochemistry analyzer is used in a lab to check cholesterol, sugar, enzyme, protein, etc.

FLAMEPHOTO METER

The principle of flame photometer is based on the measurement of the emitted light intensity when a metal is introduced into the flame. A photoelectric flame photometer is an instrument used in inorganic chemical analysis to determine the concentration of certain metal ions.

CENTRIFUGE

A centrifuge is a device that uses centrifugal force to separate various components of a fluid. A centrifuge can be a very effective filter that separates contaminants from the main body of fluid. Industrial scale centrifuges are commonly used in manufacturing and waste processing to sediment suspended solids, or to separate immiscible liquids.

ELECTRONIC BALANCE

Electromagnet to balance the object to be weighed on a single pan. A chemical can be conveniently weighed on a piece of weighing paper without having to determine the weight of the paper. The hybrid balance uses a mix of mechanical and electronically generated forces, whereas the electromagnetic force balance uses electronically generated forces entirely.

WATER BATH

A water bath is laboratory equipment made from a container filled with heated water. It is used to incubate samples in water at a constant temperature over a long period of time. Most water baths have a digital or an analogue interface to allow users to set a desired temperature

COLORIMETER

A colorimeter is a device that is used in Colorimetry. It refers to a device which helps specific solutions to absorb a particular wavelength of light. It is a photometric technique which states that when a beam of incident light of intensity passes through a solution.

MICROSCOPE

A microscope is a laboratory instrument used to examine objects that are too small to be seen by the naked eye. Microscopy is the science of investigating small objects and structures using a microscope.

INCUBATOR

The incubator maintains optimal temperature, humidity and other conditions such as the CO2 and oxygen content of the atmosphere inside. Incubators are essential for much experimental work in cell biology, microbiology and molecular biology and are used to culture both bacterial and eukaryotic cells.

RESEARCH LAB

To motivate the research culture among the postgraduate and research scholars for nutrition students at Marudhar Kesari Jain College for Women an initiation was taken to start a research lab. The lab enhances student understanding of specific scientific facts and concepts and of the way in which these facts and concepts are organized in scientific discipline.

PROJECTOR CLASSROOMS

Projectors enable teachers to create and organize notes for the class. The projectors in classroom helps the students to take better notes with ability to discern what information the teacher teaches and visualize it.
