A new technology, bidirectional wireless power transfer (WPT), is becoming a key technology of the nextgeneration charging of electric vehicles (EV) as it generates bidirectional power flow in both charging and vehicle-to-grid directions. To achieve optimum operation, it is important that the charging efficiency should be predicted correctly in the presence of variable load and coil misalignment. This paper introduces a new baseline concept that combines machine learning (ML) models, such as Random Forest, XGBoost and feedforward neural networks, with conventional PID controllers to forecast and control the WPT efficiency. Data on the simulations produced in MATLAB/Simulink include voltage, current, misalignment and changes in load, which are used as inputs to ML-based estimation of efficiency. Predicted efficiency is dynamically used to guide PID control parameters which allows adaptive response to changes that occur in realtime operations. Findings show that the ML-PID model enhances energy transfer performance (2?6% better than traditional systems that use PID only), decreases the mean absolute prediction error, and does not collapse when there is a misalignment and load variations. This research creates a standard procedure to be used to institute hybrid predictive control and insights the restraint of the system along with designing the bases of advanced learning-based optimization techniques in bi-directional WPT, which can help in advancing the design of intelligent and energy-efficient EV charging systems. This work is beneficial in the sense that it increases the efficiency of clean energy and minimizes losses in the process of charging electric vehicles, and also helps achieve the overall use of sustainable electric mobility. |

Abstract [+]
Bi-directional wireless power transfer (WPT) of electric vehicles (EVs) has considerable issues with the impedance mismatch of coils misalignment, different distances, and load dynamic conditions. These problems decrease the power transfer efficiency and cause oscillations of voltages/current which restrict the performance of the system. The paper suggests NeuroCharge, which is a neural-networkaided impedance matching system allowing real-time adaptive control of the bidirectional EV charging. The model uses artificial neural network (ANN) to predict the best switching frequency in inverter and duty ratio using coil position datasets, misalignment offsets datasets, and electrical datasets. These forecasts are incorporated into a PI/PID control loop, with the stable work being ensured, as well as providing the maximum power transfer efficiency. Simulation experiments show that NeuroCharge is more efficient (up to 15 percent), with less voltage noise (more than 50 percent), and fast response times (less than 7 ms in total). The hybrid ANN + PI/PID model lies between manual adjustment and automatic control that is considered a scalable and robust model of dynamic charging conditions. NeuroCharge is the new generation of intelligent wireless EV charging, and it has a possible application on multicoil, multi-vehicle and dynamic real-time adaptive charging infrastructures. Wireless electric vehicle (EV) charging has become one of the potential successful solutions to traditional plug-in charging systems, but its efficiency is highly influenced by the misalignment of the coils, resonant frequency error, and thermal variations. In order to solve these problems, this paper presents WirelessEV-OPT; a hybrid metaheuristic optimization model combining Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Grey Wolf Optimization (GWO) to optimize power transfer efficiency and voltage stabilization in dynamic charging conditions. It has in place a comprehensive two-way wireless power transfer (WPT) model, which involves compensation networks, frequency restrictions and thermal limits. The hybrid algorithm PSO-GWO comes up with a multi-objective fitness criterion that combines coil alignment, resonant frequency selection as well as reduction of losses. Results of simulations show that simulation exhibits better convergence behavior and is more robust than single algorithm methods. WirelessEV-OPT is more efficient, less prone to misalignment, lower thermal spikes, and is more efficient in various loads. The next-generation wireless EV chargers infrastructure suggested has an optimization framework that is a scalable/intelligent togetherness that is capable of delivering a robust energy transfer in the face of real world uncertainties. The WirelessEV-OPT model is able to promote the sustainability of metropolitan mobility by using energy-efficient EV charging. Its wireless power transmission is optimized; it enhances transportation and urban energy infrastructure to encourage greener and smarter cities. |
