About the Department


The Department of Urdu was established in the year 1994 during the inception of the college. The Department of Urdu always tried to expose the students to aesthetics of  Urdu language and literature. It always helped the students to imbibe their cultural and literary values. No discipline of life can play constructive role for society without having literary vision as third eye. The Department of Urdu and faculty endeavor in fostering literary sensibilities among the students. The language is the backbone of a communication, hence it has its importance in higher education and number of extracurricular activities is organized by department to develop the skills – Speech, Writing, Creativity, etc… Various programs are being conducted to build their character and glitter their personality. A large number of students are studying in undergraduate Urdu class. 100% pass in University exam.

VISION

To impart the knowledge of Urdu, Urdu literature and culture. To direct and equip women to face the challenges of life with courage, conscience and authenticity, Thereby inculcating humane, professional and scientific temperament, contributing to betterment of society in the path of righteousness.

MISSION

Our mission is to empower students to develop their interpersonal skill through various activities. A seminar an Urdu literature is conducted to impart knowledge. Ethics and moral to cherish their young minds also the department is often conducting conferences and workshops to develop their talents in publishing articles in journals. A part from curriculam, Student are encouraged to participate on many inter department and inter department events to enhance their co curricular and extra curricular skills.
