About
Our Institution is associated with MHRD’s IIC & ARIIA is an initiative of the Ministry of Education (MOE), Govt.of India, and innovation promotion activities are routed. In the year 2018, the Ministry of Education (MoE) through MoE’s Innovation Cell (MIC) launched the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) program in collaboration with AICTE for Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) to systematically foster the culture of innovation and start-up ecosystem in education institutions. Activities are instructed by MIC (MHRD Innovation Council) to promote Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Start-up and IPR are being held with wider coverage to include participation from every department and most of the students in the campus. MKJC IIC focuses on IIC activities, MIC activities, Self-driven activities promoting Innovation and Entrepreneurship as directed by MIC.IIC directed activities where done in 2021 and 3.5 star rating was obtained. MKJC-IIC aims at promoting more innovation promotion activities in campus and would align to the expectations of MHRD’s National Mission. ARIIA is to systematically rank all major higher educational institutions and universities in India on indicators related to “Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development” amongst students and faculties. Brand Beginner award received from ARIIA.MKJC is the Mentor for three School under ATAL Tinkering Lab.
OBJECTIVES OF IIC
To explore innovative and creative ideas in various domains from faculty members and students.
To create a platform for the creative aspirants, where their innovative ideas and concepts will be incubated and realized.
To identify the budding entrepreneurs, groom them and help them to become successful businessmen.
To inculcate generation of IPR’s among the faculty members, students and Innovators.
To strengthen the partnerships with various stakeholders from industry, R & D, financial institutions and academia enabling a complete offshoot of collaboration.
MAJOR FOCUS AREA
To create a vibrant local innovation ecosystem.
Start-up/ entrepreneurship supporting Mechanism in HEIs.
Prepare Institute for Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements Framework (ARIIA).
Establish Function Ecosystem for Scouting Ideas and Pre-incubation of Ideas.
Develop better Cognitive Ability amongst Technology Students.
FUNCTIONS
To conduct various innovation and entrepreneurship-related activities prescribed by Central MIC in time bound fashion.
Identify and reward innovations and share success stories.
Organize periodic workshops/ seminars/ interactions with entrepreneurs, investors, professionals and create a mentor pool for student innovators.
Network with peers and national entrepreneurship development organizations.
Organize Hackathons, idea competition, mini-challenges etc. with the involvement of industries.
VISION
To cater the needs of students as well as faculty entrepreneurs with innovative ideas of social relevance and there by disseminating a culture of entrepreneurship in campus which will boost our education system and there by growing the national economic and social development.
MISSION
To develop a system with required infrastructure that can enable students and faculty to innovate and prototype their ideas with industrial standards and support from Government, industry and reputed academic institutions around the world and help them to realize their potentials.
