The Department of Nutrition, Food Service Management and Dietetics has various facilities to stand with the vision of exploring new horizons together with collective wisdom.
FOOD LAB
The idea behind food lab is to show the students and allow them to have practical exposure through creative and fun culinary activities, it provides students the opportunity to learn about proper food preparation, food safety, servings, and correct association of food in menus. It also helps the students to learn food product development which is considered as a tool for building competitive advantage and long-term enterprise success in the market and for prevention of negative changes in product quality and acceptability, consumer's complaints and product rejection. The lab is well furnished for the use of varied assortment of cooking methods towards healthy lifestyles. The main aim is to procured information on nourishment for support of ideal well-being and its application for training of sustenance.
NUTRITION LAB
The nutrition lab is meant to capacitate the students to accumulate adequate knowledge about the analysis of nutrients present in the foods by using various chemical knowledge and techniques which will be advantageous during planning diet. The lab is well furnished for the use of varied chemical analysis.
RESEARCH LAB
To motivate the research culture among the postgraduate and research scholars for nutrition students at Marudhar Kesari Jain College for Women an initiation was taken to start a research lab. The lab enhances student understanding of specific scientific facts and concepts and of the way in which these facts and concepts are organized in scientific discipline.
PROJECTOR CLASS ROOMS
Projectors enable teachers to create and organize notes for the class. The projectors in classroom helps the students to take better notes with ability to discern what information the teacher teaches and visualize it.
