Green Campus
A Green Campus is a place where environmental friendly practices and education combine to promote sustainable and eco-friendly practices in the campus.
Today, it’s an appreciable fact that environmental science lessons are taken beyond the walls of classrooms and are actually applied to our day-to-day lives. And leading from the front are our campuses. Now, there’s something our state can really cheer about. Going by the recently released Swachhata Ranking Awards by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), many institutes from Tamil Nadu (TN) have been listed among top-10 campuses in different categories.
Our college received INTERNATIONAL GREEN CAMPUS AWARD by Green Thinkerz Punjab.

Our college campus of 25 acres with a built in area of about 2,15,000 Sq.ft. The campus has rich bio diversity with more than 400 different varieties of herbal plants, trees and plastic free campus. Solar panels are used for generating electricity and for heating water in the hostels. Nothing goes outside the campus as waste. Our motto is to create wealth from waste. We’ve a recycling centre, where we recycle plastic and food waste is converted into manure for plants. We require approximately 1,50,000 lakh liters of water per day as the population on campus. Water is recycled and used for gardening and in toilets. Through the rainwater harvesting, we’ve been able to save close to 2,67,000 liters of water. Every year we use to collect the E-waste for the recycle purpose.
