ABOUT
Marudhar Kesari Jain College for Women strongly believes that faculty members are the backbone of our Institution. Faculty Development Cell was established on 2022 to develop a strong reputation for excellence in the professional development of educators. Faculty development Cell endeavours at equipping the Faculty with knowledge. It is a residential programme that provides rigorous training in general management principles, pedagogical techniques (including case method), cutting-edge research methods and advanced topics in specialized areas. The resource persons will be identified based on the relevance of area of training. These value added training courses will be arranged based on the interest of the faculty to update their knowledge with the current scenario in any particular stream. The knowledge gained by the faculty will be implemented in their future endeavours.
It will also help the faculty to adapt with present outcome based education and improve their teaching strategies to accomplish their duties with effective time management skills. It is planned to train the faculty members in different verticals like life skills, time management, stress management, professional development, latest technologies, knowledge enhancement, industrial requirement and societal needs. To meet the present curriculum which is student's centric, more preference is focused on outcome based pedagogic trainings. This will help to achieve self-development of faculty and department which will pave wave for institutional growth.
To enhance education technology skills of faculties, the FDC shall observe & guide institutional education units to conduct faculty training programs regularly: Induction program to the newly joined faculty& refreshers training program for the existing faculty.
- FDC shall also conduct training sessions focusing on enhancing overall professional & personal development of faculty’s interpersonal communication skills.
- FDC shall promote the faculty of each department to participate in various seminars, conferences, work shop, fellowships, educational programmes etc conducted within and outside the college campus.
- FDC shall promote & encourage the faculty to take up advance educational courses/ fellowships/ Orientational program etc.
- FDC shall guide & encourage institutional departments to organize various academic & educational oriented programs, workshops for the research scholars.
- FDC shall be responsible for maintaining all relevant data, records and documentation related to faculty activities.

OBJECTIVES
- To organize Faculty Development Programmes (FDP) on advanced topics for all disciplines.
- To strengthen the professional competence of the faculty by arranging training programs in various domain areas.
- To enhance induction programs for fresher’s and leadership grooming for experienced faculty.
- To encourage faculty to be members of various professional bodies.
- Members of the faculty are encouraged to refer to reputed national and international journals to carry out their research work.
VISION
The cell is designed to inculcate among Faculty to promote institutional effectives through the development of personal, instructional, organizational, professional growth and awareness about modern teaching tools and methodologies. It provides an opportunity to acquire knowledge about current technological developments& methodologies in relevant fields.
MISSION
- To develop, implement & strengthen various incentive schemes for faculty development. Faculty development programs, services, and resources to enhance instructional innovation, effectiveness and support to creative activities including teaching and learning skills.
- To strengthen personal interaction through effective communication skills. This cell can also advocate resources to support faculty needs and cultivate a positive, sustainable academic environment.
- Faculty development Cell is expected to result in improved teaching performance and better learning outcomes for the betterment of students.
- FDC shall invite and involve the experts/specialists of Faculty development from Internal /External sources.
- FDC shall promote & encourage the faculties to take up advance educational courses.
