About the Department


The Department of Social Work was started in the year 2022. Social work education is an initiative to restore many students’ families by bringing dream education to reality. A career in social work is all about giving and helping others in need from various NGOs to social development.

Master of Social Work course provides comprehensive knowledge about the work put into the development of service and fulfill human needs of the vulnerable and marginalized sections of the society and social welfare. The department has been providing training and practical oriented curriculum to the students through Organizing webinars, Field works, Camps, Guest lectures, National seminars, Internship and Certificate programs to equip students.

The decennial growth of us with steady learning improves knowledge and provides growth. The social work Department is a woven blanket, always volunteers to comfort the Marginalized, grass root workers, the have-nots, and make the unworthy to be more deserved. The growing course of us, helping students with wholesome competency to face the challenges to be a competent social worker.

The Course outline of Social Work Programme

    I MSW 

  • Includes courses/ Papers on the Methods of Social Work
  • Field exposure through Observation visits related Social Work Settings, Local Community Camp, Group Project

     II MSW

  Offers one of the following Specializations 

  • Community Development
  • Human Resource Management
  • Medical & Psychiatric Social Work

  Field Exposure and Project

          Concurrent field works, Group Work, Case Study, Community Organization, Research Project Work, Rural and Tribal Camps and Block Placement.

  • The vision of the Master of Social Work Program is to educate and train social work practitioners with knowledge, values and skills for practice, advocacy, policy analysis, and research to be effective and culturally competent with a strong impact on diverse global populations.
  • To develop an understanding the need and importance of human beings through integrated and transformative social work education.
  • To enhance the capacity to recognize the linkage between community development and practice in the field.
