IKS aims to integrate this wisdom with modern education to solve contemporary problems, covering everything from the development of the decimal system and yoga to ancient architectural principles and governance.

Key areas of the Indian Knowledge System Philosophy and Spirituality: Includes major schools like Vedanta and Yoga, and ancient texts like the Upanishads, which focus on consciousness and reality.

Science and Mathematics: Developed concepts like zero and the decimal notation system, and advanced astronomy through texts like the Surya Siddhanta. Medicine and Well-being: Includes Ayurveda, a holistic healing system, and practices like yoga and meditation.

Architecture and Engineering: Ancient texts like the Samaranga, Sutradhara, and Mayamatam provide principles for construction, including designs for large assembly halls without pillars.
